A bead is one URI-addressable resource whose face is chosen at interaction time. ## Facets to show - **File face.** `GET` + `Accept` returns content. A static bead is the degenerate agent: it negotiates nothing, and that omission is honest. - **Folder face.** `PROPFIND` or a directory listing walks the structure: `about.md` (descriptive self), `README.md` (front door), dated kind-folders `notes/ skills/ chats/ artifacts/`. - **Agent face.** `agent.md` (operative self) and `agent.json` (A2A card, the content-negotiated machine twin). Lifecycle init, setup, step, die; apoptosis rather than necrosis. - **Docks.** `uploads/` (immutable inbound provenance), `request/` and `response/` (typed asks and correlated answers). The hey-you-its-me envelope; ids are URIs, the GUID is only the leaf. - **Namespace.** `names.json` gives each bead a private Plan-9 style view of the commons; links bind rather than copy. - **Provenance.** `chats/` holds the verbatim path of light; notes are derived and the chat log wins on conflict.
## Talk beats - One slide per face, each face shown against the same bead URI (this talk's own bead works as the live example: the audience can GET it during the talk). - The punchline: nothing here needs a framework. Every facet is an HTTP verb plus a naming convention.
