## Motivation (why a GUID) A self-contained design thread: **how a bead is remotely controlled, and how it presents an interface to humans and other agents for network interaction.** Hatched from a Claude Code session-picker question (Local vs *Web* → *Interactive*/*Remote Control*) and Stephen's pivot — *don't* use Anthropic's hosted Remote Control; let **a bead be its own remote-controllable agent** whose `step` listens to an update directory. Distinct from its parents: `fe7fbaf5` defines the handler *contract* and `82bd6fa4` is the live *runtime*; this bead defines the **remote-control face** and a concrete `request/` ingress.
## Mechanism (what this bead does) Specs the **`request/` dock** — a live-request ingress sibling to the provenance dock `uploads/` — and the **binding ladder** that serves it (static folder polled by `step` → browser SW + browserdav via acequia.js → node.js acequia animator). Defines the **two UI faces** (HTML control panel for humans; A2A `agent.json` + `OPTIONS` for agents) as content-negotiated views of one control resource. Paper-first; no code yet.
