## Motivation (Why a GUID) Region-of-exploration bead. Hatched from the "self / myself" pun in the position-paper work of bead [`0a0d4bbc`](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/0a0d4bbc-5310-486b-97af-0e16646347a4/) (netlogo-user-conference-2026). The pun exposed a primitive worth its own URI-space: the **message-channel** — and specifically the **caller reference** as a channel. The claim to explore: NetLogo's `ask` / `myself` (the asked agent's back-reference to its caller), the browser's **MessageChannel** (1:1 `MessagePort` pair), and the browser's **BroadcastChannel** (named, many-to-many same-origin) are three faces of one idea. A message-channel is *the edge along which agents coordinate*, and the most important thing it carries is **who is on the other end** (`myself` = the caller). This is the link in "massive linking between the nodes/turtles" (the collective-intelligence thesis), made concrete.
