## Motivation (why a GUID) The [there-is-no-goat bead](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/e5ef0ead-c295-45f3-ae1c-68380ed6a69f/about.md) holds the koan (capture the light field and you do not need the goat) and Ryan Damm's talks. That bead is the frame. This bead is the **lineage**: the topical home for light fields and image-based rendering as a field of work, so the koan has a documented ancestry to stand on. It carries Debevec's Campanile and Facade work, the Levoy-Hanrahan and Lumigraph founding papers, the plenoptic function, and the thread that ties view-dependent texture mapping back to acequia's own through-the-lens pose and tie-point machinery. A fresh GUID keeps this reference material out of the global namespace while giving camera, twin, and pose beads a stable URI to cite.
