Prior traces of the WA DNR contract in the commons (survey, 2026-07-06) (Wa Dnr Subscription)

Searched the bead namespace, memory, the accounting bead, and the local site origins for anything touching the Washington DNR contract or taxes on its software subscription. **No prior bead deals with either.** What does exist:

## Traces found 1. **Scenario data, not contract data** — [simtable.acequia.io/projects/wa-dnr/](https://simtable.acequia.io/projects/wa-dnr/) holds the `jackrabbit-fire-ttx` scenario (Fake_Fire shapefiles, BARC/dNBR rasters, ArcGIS layer files). Confirms WA DNR is an active Simtable customer; contains nothing about contract terms or taxes. 2. **`DNR Payable` in the QuickBooks cashflow** — [owners.redfish.com/flow.csv](https://owners.redfish.com/flow.csv) (Statement of Cash Flows, Jan 2018–Feb 2026) carries a line **`DNR Payable` = $26,736.42, booked May 2023 and never reversed** (total column still $26,736.42). It sits among tax-agency payables (California CDTFA, County of San Mateo, NM Tax & Revenue, State of California). Open question: is this a WA-DNR-contract liability, tax collected-but-not-remitted on a prior DNR sale, or a miscoded entry? Worth reconciling in QBO (simtable-accounting bead `5f76451b`). 3. **Accounting bead has no DNR entry** — the off-commons simtable-accounting bead (`5f76451b`, at stephenguerin.live/simtable/admin/.agents/) notes Simtable is a pass-through LLC exposed only to sales/use tax, but never mentions DNR or Washington. 4. **Quote-tool bead is NM-flavored** — quote tool bead `fa5a3818` computes tax at 9.75% on hardware only (derived from an NM quote); its tax logic does not cover Washington-destination SaaS sales.

## Non-findings (noise ruled out) - `DNR` matches in `owners.redfish.com` presentation HTML and in bead-index.json were base64/token noise, not content. - No `DNR`/`Washington` matches in agent memory or in `C:\caddy\origins`.

## Implication This bead (`24f1f1b2`) is the first durable home for WA-DNR contract/tax reasoning. The May 2023 `DNR Payable` suggests a **prior DNR transaction already raised a tax-shaped liability** — reconciling it would tell us whether Simtable has collected WA tax before (which also bears on the nexus question in [01-washington-tax-on-saas-support-subscription.md](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/24f1f1b2-fbf7-45a2-a0c8-b720d2eaa2e6/2026-07-06/notes/01-washington-tax-on-saas-support-subscription.md)).
