Bead: Incident Cataloging

## Identity - **name:** `incident-cataloging` (conferred by Stephen 2026-06-11; supersedes the placeholder `main-context`) - **URI:** https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/c38c1239-bfd3-44dd-8d97-1a0aa39ac8da/ - **GUID:** c38c1239-bfd3-44dd-8d97-1a0aa39ac8da - **Opened:** 2026-06-08

## Native transcript (local link + resume) The bead's `chats/*.md` are the curated record; the *raw* harness transcript is the ground truth. Linked **locally** (not archived/synced — it is large, unredacted, per-user, in `~/.claude/`): - **modality:** claude-code (bearer writer, VS Code) - **session:** `13aa2b80-88fa-4a8c-b99f-b7dc8ec178ff` - **file:** `~/.claude/projects/c--Users-steph-Documents-sites/13aa2b80-88fa-4a8c-b99f-b7dc8ec178ff.jsonl` - **resume — two ways:** - *Extension panel (no typing):* **Session history** button at the top of the Claude Code panel → find by date/name → click (reopens as a chat panel). - *Terminal (VS Code integrated terminal, `Ctrl+\``):* `cd c:/Users/steph/Documents/sites && claude --resume 13aa2b80-88fa-4a8c-b99f-b7dc8ec178ff` (opens a terminal TUI; the UUID form opens directly). `--continue` = most recent; `--fork-session` = branch a copy. - Both interfaces share the same `~/.claude/projects/.../<id>.jsonl`, so the session-id works from either. (No `/resume` in the extension; it's CLI-only, used inside a session.) Convention (propose for `beads.md`): record `{modality, session-id, local path, resume cmd}` at hatch. For browser LLMs (ChatGPT/Gemini/claude.ai) the "native file" is a share URL instead — captured via the `capture-shared-chat` skill.

## Mission (Stephen, 2026-06-10) Build **the catalog** (a view/controller-agnostic way to hold any layer) and **the cataloging** (an interface to connect those layers), and prove both on a real instance — the **Sandy fire** — using **`#taos-engine`** as the **test bed**. Full statement: [2026-06-10/notes/bead-mission-catalog-and-cataloging.md](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/c38c1239-bfd3-44dd-8d97-1a0aa39ac8da/2026-06-10/notes/bead-mission-catalog-and-cataloging.md). - **Catalog (noun):** the view/controller-agnostic format ([2026-06-08/notes/event-catalog-format-design.md](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/c38c1239-bfd3-44dd-8d97-1a0aa39ac8da/2026-06-08/notes/event-catalog-format-design.md)) holding heterogeneous layers (MISB FMV, alertLive photos, fire-progression rasters, perimeters) as typed entries with pose/time/media. - **Cataloging (verb):** an interface to **connect to layers** ([2026-06-08/notes/cataloging-as-a-verb.md](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/c38c1239-bfd3-44dd-8d97-1a0aa39ac8da/2026-06-08/notes/cataloging-as-a-verb.md)) — compose/sequence/subscribe — e.g. the Sandy fire progression. - **Children / test beds:** - `#catalog` ([90f902e0](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/90f902e0-2e45-4aa1-b998-918ca3688e94/about.md)) — the **noun** as a buildable deliverable: one canonical STAC catalog that duck-types to each viewer's directory/file structure. Hatched 2026-06-10. - `#taos-engine` ([c66cbd1d](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/.agents/c66cbd1d-453c-41f8-8440-179502f25de4/about.md)) — ports the MISB viewer in TaosEngine; the proving ground for connecting the Sandy layers (aircraft FMV + fire progression) over one space+time frame. Now shipped live + public at [apps/taos-misb/](https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/apps/taos-misb/).

## Original motivation (Why a GUID) This thread began documenting a **view/controller-agnostic event catalog format** from concrete formats already in use: (1) the `alertLive` posed-photo event on `santafe-alert-live.acequia.io`, and (2) the MISB FMV viewer's catalog + telemetry + media stack. It has since grown into the catalog+cataloging mission above.

## Mechanism (What this bead does) - Documents the WebDAV layout and per-collection JSON schema of the `alertLive` event at `https://santafe-alert-live.acequia.io/events/buooas8cqaalu53n5u5rc12f/`. - Documents the data formats of the MISB FMV viewer at `https://redfish.acequia.io/guerin/apps/viewer-3d/index-misb.html` (catalog manifest, two MISB telemetry dialects, normalized sample contract, media/pose model). - Captures the steps that created and verified the `santafe-alert-live` site (token credential, `.site` route config, manifest refresh). - Feeds a forthcoming **unified event-catalog** draft (typed leaf tree + shared Pose schema + per-type adapters).

## Folder Layout ``` c38c1239-bfd3-44dd-8d97-1a0aa39ac8da/ about.md <- this file 2026-06-08/ artifacts/ santafe-alert-live-events-structure.md <- alertLive event format (viewer-read) misb-viewer-data-formats.md <- MISB FMV viewer formats (viewer-read) santafe-live-catalog-manager.md <- santafe.live authoring tool (catalog write) chats/ 2026-06-08-santafe-alert-live-events-structure.md notes/ <- working concepts (workshop, not gallery) event-catalog-format-design.md <- live synthesis toward the unified format catalog-schema-drift.md <- naming inconsistencies to reconcile skills/ (empty) ```

## Session Log - **2026-06-08** — Created `santafe-alert-live.acequia.io` site (token cred + `.site` + manifest refresh, verified 204/207). PROPFIND'd `/events/buooas8cqaalu53n5u5rc12f/` (Depth 1 then infinity); documented the 6-collection / 21-file structure as an artifact. - **2026-06-08** — Inspected the MISB FMV viewer (`apps/viewer-3d/`); documented its data formats (catalog `incidents.json`, two MISB ST 0601 telemetry dialects, normalized in-memory sample, pose/time/media model) and drew the first crosswalk toward a view/controller-agnostic event catalog. - **2026-06-08** — Processed inbound `uploads/` from the AlertCalifornia-capture sibling (camera+aircraft surfaces). Bound into `notes/`: subject/platform/look pose decomposition (supersedes flat Pose), acquisition-as-controller, surfaces 4 & 5, and provisional/closed answers to Q3/Q4/Q5. Upload files left immutable. Then watching `.agents/` for the sibling's new bead to introduce into its `uploads/`. - **2026-06-08** — Synced `santafe.live` down to local; documented it as the **Catalog Manager** (authoring side): drag-image-to-map sets Lat/Lng (PUT `imagePose`), drag-image-to-timeline sets year (PUT `imageMeta.calendarDate`); content-addressed id = SHA-256(url)[:16]; persistence is browser WebDAV PUT per edit. Confirmed it writes the **same Pose schema** the `alertLive` viewer reads (with `imagePose`/`imagePoses` + `lastUpdate`/`lastupdate` drift). Added the 3-surface crosswalk.

## Modus Operandi (How to interact) GET the artifact for the event schema. The site itself is token-authed WebDAV; credential file is `.credentials/santafe-alert-live-token.txt` (workspace-local, scoped to this origin only).

## Capabilities - Reference for what an `alertLive` event looks like on disk (geoPoints / tiePoints / imageMeta / imagePoses / uvPoints).

## Lifecycle Persists while referenced. No inbound references → apoptosis is correct. Sync to canonical URI via `/bead-sync`.

## Limitations - Schema is inferred from one event instance; field semantics (e.g. `uvPoints`, `far`, `poseLocked`) are read off sample records, not a spec. - Snapshot as of 2026-06-08; the live event mutates (`lastupdate` timestamps present).
