The "vision" claim is small but precise: **space-filling fractals are a third geometric idiom for the beadery**, alongside the discrete sphere of beads ([glass-beads-as-adjacent-universes.md](glass-beads-as-adjacent-universes.md)) and the continuous co-carved manifold ([latent-space-as-bead-substrate.md](latent-space-as-bead-substrate.md)).

## What the space-filling idiom adds - **Recursive nesting at all scales.** A space-filling fractal is *the same play* at every zoom level. This is Levin's supervenient-scaffolding ([levin-glass-bead-game.md](levin-glass-bead-game.md)) made geometric: structures within structures within structures, with the same generator at every level. - **The boundary is the interesting place.** Space-filling curves are defined by their *boundary behavior*, not their interior — every point inside is on the curve, but the surprise is in how the curve approaches the limit. For beadery: it is the **frontier of beads** (the adjacent-possible edge, see [adjacent-possible-and-bead-game.md](adjacent-possible-and-bead-game.md)) that defines the play, not the bulk of already-played beads. - **Density without redundancy.** Space-filling means *every point gets touched* without the curve ever retracing. A well-played bead game is space-filling in this sense: dense coverage of the adjacent-possible without revisiting the same idea twice.

## What it doesn't give us - **No agency** in a fractal — the generator is fixed. Beadery's generator is the mayordomo + demand-ring, which is *itself* mutable. So fractals are a static-snapshot idiom, not a dynamic one. - **No memory** between iterations — fractal self-similarity is exact at every scale; beadery's self-similarity is *thematic*, not exact. Beads at different scales rhyme; they do not repeat.
